Moldovan internal audit specialists in Latvia gain experience in risk management 17/10/2019
The Ministry of Finance of Latvia welcomed representatives of the Central Harmonization Unit and public internal auditors from the Republic of Moldova for the Study Visit within the project “Further Development of Effective Internal Control Systems and Internal Audit in the Republic of Moldova”. Study visit to Latvia is organized for five working days (October 14 -18, 2019).
During the Study Visit several meetings, discussions and exchange of practical experience sessions with Latvian relevant public and non-government institutions responsible for development, coordination and implementation of the Internal Control System, strategic planning, budgeting planning and execution, development and implementation of the Internal Audit policy are organized – Ministry of Finance, State Treasury, State Revenue Service, State Audit Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of the Interior, Internal Audit Council, the Institute of Internal Auditors, local-government institutions etc.
In addition, meetings with internal auditors from public entities are organized and practical experience in the field of internal auditing, risk management, self-assessment and quality assessment are shared in order to strengthen capacity of representatives of Moldova.
At the result of the Study Visit, the capacity of public internal auditors of the Republic of Moldova will be improved and principles of effective internal control system and governance will be promoted. Discussions with public internal auditors and representatives from local municipality are being organized in order to raise awareness of the role of Internal Audit and Internal Control System in public administration.
Broad cooperation within the above mentioned Project will bring positive effects, will influence development of international relationship between both public finance institutions and the same time contribute to achieve better Project results in the Republic of Moldova.
The project received development cooperation financing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia in 2019.
